UITS charges $0.20 per gram of material printed. Minimum $5.00 charge. We allot up to 25 grams in that minimum charge. Students, Faculty, or Staff paying with CrimsonCash must have funds in advance of print services.

UITS 3D PRINTING POLICY
UITS 3D printers are available to university students, faculty, and staff and may be used only for lawful purposes. It is not permitted to use UITS 3D printers to create material which is:
- Prohibited by local, state or federal law.
- Unsafe, harmful, dangerous or considered by UITS staff to pose an immediate threat to the well-being of others.
- Considered by UITS staff to be obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the academic environment.
- In violation of another’s intellectual property rights.
UITS reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request. Only designated UITS staff and volunteers will have hands-on access to the 3D printers.
By submitting a request you agree that your requested model(s) will be used for non-clinical applications only. If seeking models for clinical usage, please contact IUPUI legal counsel Joe Scodro or Tom Gannon.

We only accept .STL and .OBJ files. You may also add a link to a 3D model download in the description of the request form, but if the design is not able to print we may deny the request or ask for a revision.
Print requests may take up to 48 hours to process. Once processed, we will send you an email including a quote or any notes regarding design revisions. After you have accepted the quote, it can take up to 2 weeks before a request is completed and ready for pick up. When a request is ready for pick up, you will be sent an email. If you have not collected your request within 14 days of receiving the email, then the item(s) become the property of UITS.
